THE EXPERIENCE
You walk in the door, and immediately step into an atmosphere of love and acceptance. Service starts off with lively authentic worship that is a staple of our worship experience followed by a biblical and relevant message. Our worship experiences generally close out with more music and a chance to be prayed for. You can expect the whole experience to last about an hour and a half. Stick around after the service we'd love to get the chance to know you and make your experience at Revival Centre complete.
MY KIDS?
We have an excellent Kids program that will relieve you of having to care for your children during service so you can focus on the total worship experience. We have dedicated kids ministry staff that have all undergone important training and background checks to ensure your child is, safe, secure and having a blast. PASTOR JONATHAN COLE
Pastor Jonathan Cole is the lead pastor of Revival Centre Church. He is also Global Missions Director for N.S. Presbyter of the Highlands Sectional Churches and an annual guest lecturer at North East Christian College in Fredericton NB. Pastor Cole has pastored at Revival Centre for the past 15 years, before which he assisted his father in the church. He and his wife Sherry live in the Amherst area with their two daughters, Renee and Samantha.
SENIOR PASTOR HAROLD COLE
In 1980, Rev. Harold Cole and family came to Amherst NS to take on the role of lead pastor. Under Rev. Cole's leadership Revival Centre grew and expanded in a number of ways including the building of our current worship facilities at the corner of Robert Angus and Church street. In 1999 when his son Pastor Jonathan Cole took over as lead pastor, Rev. Harold Cole became our senior pastor. Today Rev. Cole, along with his wife Della, continues to be actively involved with the ministry at Revival Centre.
OUR TEAM
At Revival Centre we have an amazing team that makes the work we do for God, all possible. We are proud of the fact that nearly 80% of our members are active in some form of ministry in our church, and we welcome everyone to get involved and take part in the action. Strength comes from community, and our volunteers that sacrifice their time and talents is what makes our community so great and strong. Our current platform ministry and department heads include:

REVIVAL CENTRE WORSHIP
Revival Centre Worship is the sound of Revival Centre Church. This team of worship leaders and musicians leads our local church into the presence of God during every worship experience. For several years, our worship team has also written and recorded songs that reflect the journey of our church. These anthems capture the heart of our church as we celebrate God’s faithfulness and our gratitude for the work of Christ in our lives.
RC KIDS
RC Kids is the family ministry of Revival Centre Church with a goal of engaging kids and empowering families. RC Kids provides age-appropriate worship, Bible stories, and activities during our weekend worship experiences. We divide RC Kids into five separate environments so that we can engage your child at their level. RC Kids is available at every Sunday morning worship experience, allowing parents to enjoy a distraction-free worship experience.
We are a Bible based church, in the heart of Amherst NS. We are affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International, and as such we teach, preach, and model our church after the first church in the Book of Acts.
OUR BELIEFS
Revival Centre Church has been a staple of the Amherst community since its humble beginnings in 1959 under the direction of Rev. & Mrs. John Mean. The early congregation began with a few people and today boasts membership and outreach efforts in the hundreds. Revival Centre has seen many great leaders in its history and currently enjoys the leadership of Rev. & Mrs. Jonathan Cole. We have many stories of where we've come and with God's grace we'll have many more from where we're going!
